Welcome to Art 20.

Art 20 builds upon the basic knowledge, skills, interests and techniques acquired in Art 10. In addition it will emphasize student development in the areas of creativity and self-determination through exploration of a wide variety of 2 –dimensional and 3-dimensional media and technique both in visual and written form. The course gradually builds to a more student-directed approach with less emphasis on teacher-directed structure. You are expected to show initiative in the approach to the various activities as well as an expanded view of the arts today and through history. Expectations and evaluation will reflect a more serious interest in art, as well as a more mature expression in your ideas and work. Art 20 is very much a building year for Art 30.
